According to the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre of Macao, those who have stayed in the Dashi Street, Panyu District, Guangzhou, in the 14 days prior to arriving in Macao, are exempted from a 14-day medical observation in a designated place upon arrival since 6pm, July 7, 2021.

Macao has now lifted the quarantine requirements for those who have visited Guangdong 14 days prior to entry.

Foreigners who were in places in Chinese mainland over the 21 days prior to arrival and visit Macao from Guangdong must hold a nucleic acid test certificate – issued within 48 hours – proving they are 'negative' for COVID-19 infection.

In addition, those who have visited the Ruili city in Southwest China's Yunnan Province 14 days prior to arriving in Macao, are required by the Macao health authorities to undergo a 14-day medical observation in a designated place upon arrival.

Moreover, a valid COVID-19 nucleic acid certificate with a negative result is now required to enter and leave Macao, according to Macao Government Tourism Office. If your test report turns out to be expired before you leave Macao, you need to do the test again and obtain a negative certificate, so that you can return to the Chinese mainland without quarantine.
